In 1968, Norbert Rueckl formed Rueckl Construction in the Village of Luxemburg.
At that time, Norbert's son Glen, worked part time for the business. Later, he attended
a two-year carpentry course at a Green Bay vocational school to become more
specialized and knowledgeable in the construction field. After graduation, Glen
began working full time.
Glen continued working with his father until 1978, when Glen's wife Karen joined the
business. Together they created Rueckl Home Building Center, Inc.
After graduating with an associate degree in Civil Engineering in 1993, Karen and Glen's
son Jason began working for the business. Over the years, the skill and knowledge he
acquired from the carpentry trade allowed him to advance to a foreman position.
Karen manages the office full time and now has two part time assistants to aid in
customer service and lumberyard management
In the spring of 1999, a new office was built complete with a hands-on showroom and a
meeting area to privately adjourn with customers. A large warehouse contains the
company's trucks as well as on-hand inventory
What initially began as a small two-man crew grew to a business employing ten
people.
